Reaching Independence through Support and Education

We implement a balance of academic, social, communication, self-help and community based instruction in order to support students level of independence and self-determination.

Our students are active members of the Norton Creek community. Students participate in grade-level activities in a variety of ways. This is individualized based on student needs and preferences

When in the Community for Community Based Instruction (CBI), students work on a variety of individualized goals to support independence, self-advocacy, and generalization of math skills.

We use our Power Standards to help drive instruction in order to increase student independence.
