When you are reporting an absence due to illness, please provide a reason for the absence and whether or not your child has a contagious illness.
Keep a child home from school when:
- Your child had a fever of 100 degrees F or more within the past 24 hours.
- Your child had vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
- Your child has an unexplained rash, sore or pink eyes with a discharge.
- Your child MUST be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without use of any fever reducing medication.
If the student has not stayed home the prescribed length of time, the parents will be contacted and asked to come to school to take the child home. Thank you for following these guidelines to help keep everyone healthy!
